I’ve made it home safe and sound from my wonderful little min-vacation in Pensacola, Florida. Yes, I stayed tucked away in my hotel most of the time, enjoyed my balcony view of the Gulf, and got a lot more accomplished than anticipated.
I blogged, of course, but I also wrote three short stories, managed to write two role-plays in gaming, organize my laptop files a little, and actually relaxed as well. It was great, but man, I’m glad to be home to all my familiar things.
The drive was uneventful, thankfully, and pleasant.
The weather, both in Pensacola and here, has taken a turn on the more chilly side.I actually wore pants today! Okay, not that I streak around with no pants everyday…lol…I just like my shorts.
As you can see from the photo, fat cat missed me greatly. Yes, I’m typing this one handed because she will not relinquish my right arm. When I walked in the door she dashed to me mewling and meowing, scolding me for leaving her. Then commenced with following me and being underfoot as I unpacked and got settled.
Yes, I missed my babykitty fatcat.
Tomorrow I will be back to my regular routine I hope. I have given myself permission to take a break from The Path of Redemption and work on some other little projects.
I miss my coffee shop time. There was a Starbucks down in Pensacola close to the hotel, but MY coffee shop makes a specialty drink that is just…perfection. I had them make one for me at Starbucks, and after the odd looks and they followed my instructions, it just wasn’t as good. Nope.
I will say that when I go to Pensacola again, I will request the same room, or the one next to it. Lovely view, lovely room. I was very pleased.
Now I’m off for food in my face and maybe a nap! I rarely take naps. I think I deserve a nap!
